ART OF HEART GALLERY

Thank you for your interest in my photography. I hope that you enjoy these pictures as much as I did taking them. I began shooting pictures in 1979 with a Pentax MX. After an introductory class through the camera store and a summer photography program at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee, I experimented with different cameras and created an extensive portfolio. Each genre is unique for the time and represents my world travel. I have a special affinity with nature by taking photographs of unique aspects of flora and fauna. I try to see the heart in all of nature.   On July 17, 2004 in the category of plants through the amateur photography contest presented by Chicago Park District’s “Lincoln through a Lens”, I received second place out of over 100 entries.  Presently, I enjoy taking shots with a digital camera and altering them on the computer. Most of my abstract work at this time is dynamic, bold, colorful and full of geometric patterns, which reflects my passion of tutoring geometry since the age of 15. One of my abstract series looks like paintings while another looks like I am painting with light.  Some images are so inspiring for me that I put a poem with them. I have photographic coasters for sale in Soma Sofa, a San Francisco furniture store. I appreciate your interest and support, which enhances my other business, Academics Plus, an educational service helping special people achieve their academic goals. Through my compilation of a wide variety of work, I consciously focus on demonstrating the joy of pursuing many passions through life-long learning.  Thank you, once again.
